Dr. Bikram Dam hails from Borkhola in Southern part of Assam, India. He completed his MBBS from Silchar Medical college and Hospital, Assam which was followed by Masters in Ophthalmology from Assam Medical College & Hospital (Formerly known as Berry White Medical School). He then subsequently moved to L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad -a Global center of excellence in Eyecare & a World Health Organization collaborating center for Prevention of Blindness for a 3-year Long term Cornea & Anterior Segment Fellowship from 2021 to 2024.
He is well versed in Phacoemulsification with premium IOLs, Femtosecond cataract surgery, Complex cataract surgeries.
He is also well trained in medical management of corneal disorders and has performed numerous penetrating keratoplasties, ALK, DALK, DSAEK, DMEK, SLET, MMG, AMG. He is also experienced in management of refractive disorders and has done numerous PRK, Trans PRK, Contoura vision, LASIK, ICL, IPCL, PTK, Collagen cross linking.
He is a member of numerous professional bodies including All India Ophthalmological society, Cornea Society of India. He has numerous publications and presentations in indexed publications and also a peer reviewer for various prestigious journals. He has also been recipient of best free paper award in 53rd Annual conference of Ophthalmological Society of Assam. When not working in the clinic he likes to spend his time travelling, reading fiction and spending time with family. His motto is making excellent eye health care accessible to everyone irrespective of their socio-economic barriers.
